Dr. Sabrina Mukhtar is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology with a specific expertise in Cornea and ocular surface disease. Apart from a scholarly and clinical focus on dry eye, she routinely performs cataract, corneal and refractive surgery. Dr Mukhtar completed her undergraduate degree in Public Health from University of California, Berkeley. She then attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University and then completed her Master's in Public Health at University of Pittsburgh prior to starting residency. She completed her residency training at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident. She stayed at UPMC to receive her Cornea and Refractive surgery fellowship training.
