Originally from Elk County, Pennsylvania, Dr. Chanin Funair-Woods went to undergraduate at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.  There she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA, in 2003.  Since graduation, Dr. Funair worked in corporate optometry for 20 years providing comprehensive eye care to the community.  

Dr. Funair currently holds a position as Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and is involved in the resident training program.  She provides eye care at the UPMC Mercy Vision Institute.  Outside of the office Dr. Funair enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
