Prior to joining the department permanently, Dr. Sandeep Bollepalli was visiting scholar working on the digital twin of the eye, predictive models for age related macular degeneration and ophthalmic image registration, segmentation and classification.  Before that he was a research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.  He received both is PhD and masters from Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad.   Dr. Bollepalli’s research interests are in machine learning, multimodal data fusion, biomedical signal processing, big data analytics and natural language processing.
